What are the safe operating procedures for peripheral grinding machines?
A grinder is a machine tool that uses abrasive tools to grind the surface of a workpiece. Most grinders use high-speed rotating grinding wheels for grinding, and a few use oilstone, abrasive belt and other abrasives and free abrasive, such as honing mill, ultra precision machine tool, abrasive belt grinder, grinder, polishing machine, etc. So, what are the safety operation rules for peripheral grinder?

What are the safe operating procedures for peripheral grinding machines?
1. Check machinery, electrical appliances, protective devices, dust collection devices, work cards, measuring tools, etc. They are in complete and good condition before work.
2. After the manual inspection of each part, run it without load, check the longitudinal reciprocating motion of the grinding head, and work after confirming that it is normal.
3. Before working, manually adjust the position of the reversing block iron according to the grinding length of the workpiece and tighten it.
4. When the machine tool is working, the pressure of the hydraulic system should not exceed the specified value range. The oil temperature must not exceed 50. When there is air in the oil cylinder, the grinding head must travel back and forth several times to exhaust.
5. The machine tool does not have an automatic and manual interlocking mechanism for longitudinal movement, but the handle is pulled out when hydraulic automatic reciprocating motion is used.
6. Frequently check the fastening of fixtures and workpieces, the balance fastening of grinding wheels and the tightness of belts. The blunt grinding wheel shall be repaired in time.
7. When dressing the grinding wheel, the diamond cutter is fixed on the special support. It is strictly prohibited to impact during operation, and protective glasses shall be worn.
8. When the grinding wheel is not separated from the workpiece, it is not allowed to stop.
9. The replacement of grinding wheel shall comply with the general safety regulations of grinding machine.
10. Do not touch the workpiece during grinding, and do not transport objects through moving parts.
11. Adjust, repair, lubricate and wipe the machine tool, and stop the machine tool.
What are the precautions for peripheral grinder operators?
1. Before starting the peripheral grinder, the machine tool shall be carefully inspected, including the inspection of the operating mechanism, electrical equipment, magnetic chuck and other fixtures. After inspection, lubricate it. After lubrication, conduct test run and confirm that everything is in good condition before use.
2. Attention shall be paid to clamping when clamping the workpiece. Loose workpiece during grinding will cause serious consequences such as flying out of the workpiece, hurting people or crushing the grinding wheel. When starting to work, use manual adjustment to make the grinding wheel slowly close to the workpiece. The starting feed should be small, and excessive force is not allowed to prevent the grinding wheel from colliding. When it is necessary to control the reciprocating motion of the workbench with a stopper, it shall be accurately adjusted according to the grinding length of the workpiece, and the stopper shall be firmly fastened.
3. When replacing the grinding wheel, the appearance shall be checked first to see if there is any damage, and then the grinding wheel shall be knocked with a wooden hammer or stick to ensure that the sound is clear and free of cracks. The grinding wheel shall be assembled according to the specified methods and requirements during installation. After static balance commissioning, it shall be installed and tested. It can only be used after everything is normal.
4. Workers shall wear safety glasses during work, and the grinding wheel shall be trimmed in a balanced manner to prevent impact. Measure the workpiece, adjust or wipe the machine tool after shutdown. When using the magnetic chuck, the disk surface and the workpiece shall be wiped, tightened and firmly sucked. If necessary, a stopper can be added to prevent the workpiece from shifting or flying out. Attention shall be paid to installing the protective cover of the grinding wheel or the baffle of the machine tool, and the side of the station shall rotate the front of the grinding wheel at high speed.
